We’re expanding fast. We need a designer who masters manual UX in Figma and uses AI to accelerate consistency and iteration—then manually QA’s to pixel-perfect finish. Traditional/manual UX alone can’t keep up with the volume and speed we’re targeting; AI helps smooth out the small logic bumps and keeps quality tight at scale.

What is TimeBack Digital?

We’re an early-stage digital marketing and web development agency building:

Our agency (branding, web dev, SEO, marketing for global clients)
A peer-to-peer shared accommodation platform (think Airbnb for flatmates/housemates)
Tech stack: React, Node.js, Next.js

Founded by Ben: 25+ years in finance and business, new dad, personally funding the startup. The goal is to build trusted careers and win back time—together.

Our current team has laid a solid foundation. As we significantly expand, a manual-only approach can’t always keep pace with the speed and volume of work we’re targeting. We’re bringing in a specialist who pairs manual craftsmanship with AI acceleration to raise consistency, reduce iteration time, and smooth small logic issues across journeys.

Your role: Audit current experiences, propose improvements, redesign with AI-enhanced workflows, share playbooks with the team, and lift our work to global
standards.

You will:

Use AI to spot and correct spacing/alignment at scale
Leverage AI to enforce design systems and brand tokens
Employ AI to optimize flows and reduce friction
Apply AI to accelerate reviews—then manually refine to perfection
Bring world-class practice through AI-assisted design + manual QA

What You’ll Do

Immediate priorities

Audit current web/app/form/brand UX
Identify spacing, alignment, branding, and journey gaps
Redesign with AI to fix problems faster and better
Optimize user journeys (fewer clicks, clearer paths, higher conversions)
Establish design systems (tokens, components, spacing scales)
Train designers on AI workflows + manual QA guardrails

Ongoing

Design pages/features/apps via AI-assisted + manual flows
Maintain cross-property consistency
Review output and catch issues before deployment
Continuously improve using data + AI insights

Everything you ship must be:

Consistent (spacing, alignment, typography)
On-brand across touchpoints
Logically efficient (minimize interactions, maximize value)
World-class (think Airbnb/Microsoft/Apple)
Fast to implement (AI for speed) with final manual QA

Figma AI (Built-in) + Manual Mastery (Non-Negotiable)


You’re fluent with Figma AI (built-in) and relevant plugins, using them to:

Generate/iterate wireframes and layouts rapidly
Check spacing/alignment and component consistency
Propose variants/responsive patterns
Accelerate exploration—then manually refine to pixel-perfect

Hybrid workflow required: Manual Figma skills → AI to accelerate → Manual QA to finish.

Experience

2–3+ years professional UX/UI design
Proven AI integration in your workflow
Commercial experience (live products; not just portfolios)
Portfolio proving spacing discipline, consistency, branding
Understanding of user psychology and behavior
Experience with design systems and component libraries

Technical

Expert Figma (components, Auto Layout, variants, tokens, prototyping)
Understanding React components & web constraints
Responsive design across devices
Accessibility (WCAG) awareness
Helpful: basic HTML/CSS

Portfolio must show

Live, deployed commercial work
Before/after optimization examples
Consistent design systems
Simplified complex user flows
